This is a complaint Against MAAC Institue Thane the institute lured the students to take admission by offering them a discount and also a pen tab if they registered within the offer period. Incase a student only wanted to learn Gaming he was discouraged by saying that if he only opted for one course he/she would not get any placement, so they suggested that a student go in for an entire course which would include a number of softwares and hence they would be able to get higher fees from the student of about 2.5 lakhs instead of a meagre Rs 50k if the student only opted for Gaming.
To add to this the Instructors would never be on time for instance a class which was to start at 6pm would start at 7 pm. Most of the students were college studnets hence that one hour which was lost due to the unpunctualness of the Instructor was a severe loss for the college student who could have utalized his time for his studies.
The topics that were covered were very basic and outdated like ball bouncing, movement of a pendulum, etc.
The only thing that the Institute did was very religiously follow up for the payments from the parents and once the last installment was collected from the parents the instructors were very irregular.
Somehow the course was completed and then the students were supposed to make a showreel under the guidance of the instructors the instrcutors were never available when the students required any help and the making of the showreel dragged for 6 months after the showreel was somehow completed the main question was now of the placement of the students. The students were asked to join a whatsapp group were the jobs would be posted. All the jobs that were posted were irrelavant and not matching the skills learn by the student. Hardly 0.5 to 1% placement may have been done whereas they had promised 100% placement at the time of registration after sometime just 1 or 2 jobs would be posted in the whatsapp group after a span of 15 days. The poor students felt stranded and were forced to look for jobs on thier own just 1 to 2% students were
successful in finding a placement while the rest of the students felt lost, frustrated losing all hopes of finding the right placement and finally quit their dream career. Thus my earnest request to one and all is NOT TO JOIN THIS INSTITUE or for that matter any institue offering such courses. It is better to learn these courses online from Udemy vidoes for nominal charges because the interviewer never asks never asks for degree nor the name of the institute from where the course has been done. The student is given an assignmnet and only when he completes the assignemnt to the satisfaction of the interviewer does he get a suitable job. Was this information helpful? |
