Mescom — High Bill on empty flat | |||
MESCOM charged me 15000rs for an empty flat on July 2019. The flat was occupied till around June 2018 and was vacant and deposits were also kept in order to pay the minimum bill of 410 Rs. Then in July 2019 they charged so much saying they changed the meter because it was not billing. Despite the fact that minimum wattage was being counted and reciprocated in my bill which I was paying every month. Me and my family live abroad so when I got this charge I was shocked. I went to MESCOM and explained, they said they just extrapolated what might have costed based on the bill of the previous year when it was occupied. When I got all documents and submitted a letter stating no one was in the apartment and we come occasionally despite it being my own apartment, a week later there was nothing in the file. I was shocked and submitted again. They have done this to many other tenants in the building colony. Kindly help me and many others like minded tenants who do not know what to do and where to go.
