[Resolved] Nokia Care - Service Center (Gariahat) — Damaged phone and Misleading | |||
My phone, Nokia C5-03, stopped working a week and a half back. The phone would not switch on. It is in warranty period. So, I took it to the service center for Nokia in Gariahat. They kept the phone for a few days for inspection and on the due date they said that there is a problem with the motherboard and the LCD is broken, and that it will cost me Rs.1900 for repair. They charged me Rs.100 for inspection. Since my warranty was not doing any good to me, I took the phone to a well known independent mobile repair shop. The engineer there said that there is a problem with the motherboard and it has to be repaired. Additionally, he said that the phone's LCD is broken and that it is of a different model, not the Nokia C5-03. They also informed that this Gariahat Nokia service center has been noted, even before, for such mischievous acts. I knew that my phone's LCD was not damaged and when the Nokia service center official had said that I suspected foul play. Hence, I took my phone for inspection by a different repair engineer. All I conclude is that my phone's LCD has been replaced by a damaged LCD of a different phone, which of course is also a different model than that of mine, in order to falsely charge me with an extra amount of money for repair. I hereby request that my phone is taken back and is repaired free of cost for the harassment and the misleading that they have subjected me to. I will see to it that this complaint is also forwarded to every official, including you, that can take strong actions against them. Was this information helpful? | |||

In response to my complain I had received a phone call from Nokia inquiring about the details. Since then there has not been any further query or no concrete solution has been provided. I am without a phone for almost a month now and this cannot possibly go on for long.
I beseech you that you look into the matter again. They are to apathetic to look into it, the way I see it. What I have experienced is pure forgery and I have been, in every way, pretty lenient in my complains but this cannot be a way to handle such an issue on your part.
