Modern Food Speciality N Supermarket — Charging price over and above MRP for Bisleri 20 Litre

I am writing to file a complaint against Modern Food Speciality N Supermarket, Shop No 2, 4, 5, 9, Gopal Bhavan, Azad Rd, Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400069, for overcharging me on a product. On 13th December 2024, I purchased a 20-litre bottle of Bislery Water, which has an MRP of Rs. 90. However, I was charged Rs. 110, an excess of Rs. 20 above the MRP.

When I asked for the bill, the staff added an extra Rs. 20 as "other charges" without providing any valid explanation. This is in clear violation of consumer protection laws, as retailers are not allowed to charge above the printed MRP or add unexplainable extra charges.

I request that action be taken against the supermarket for these unfair practices, and that a refund of the overcharged Rs. 20 be issued.
