Hundayi i 10 is my first car and I have been a regular to the Hundayi Service Center in Goregaon since 8 years now. The result is we trust the advisors blindly. Now yesterday, Saturday, 13th May we had given our car to the service center for a minor problem. Since our regular advisor was on leave, this gentleman was our advisor for the day. In the morning he checked and said there is no problem as such and I will still check the Ac since there seems a slight problem whereas I as layman knew our AC was functioning efficiently. But when he called in the afternoon and said the bill is amounting to 6000+ and said things like it may affect the car in the long run etc etc, we obviously believed them. Done our promised delivery time was 5 pm. This gentleman didnt bother to pick his phone. We reached there as decided alongwith my wife and 5 year old daughter. He said the car is still getting ready. Will take about an hour. We still agreed. Finally he handed over the car to us at 7:50 pm, approximately 3 hrs after the promised delivery time. But we waited since we didnt want to come back. The agony doesent end here. Ten mins from the service station, the car breaks down. Not only the AC (which seemed perfect before servicing and is what was supposedly changed) was not cooling but the car heat indicator showed maximum. We stayed stranded in the middle of the road.
We contacted the advisor and his response was- Sir, I have left for home. Which was a blatant lie since when we contacted his senior, he handed over the phone to him which proved he was still at the service station. Although it was their mistake and we had paid, ten minutes from the service station, nobody bothered to come over and check. We were given the Emergency break down number and supposed to follow up ourselves. Now this person was quite at a distance whereas the service center was ten minutes. But after repeatedly contacting the Center Manager and this breakdown person, he reached the site in an hours time around 9:15 pm. My wife and the little girl were still stranded. He seemed very cooperative, checked around and the car began working fine. Five minutes from there, the car faced the same problem and broke down. Admist all this, the advisor himself didnt even bother to call or follow up. After that and again a series of follow ups, sitting in the middle of the road, the breakdown person came again. At 10:00 pm we had to take the car back to the service center and leave it there. My little one was hungry and tired. We took a cab back at home. The advisor called up this morning from the service station. His question, " Good morning Sir! So the car was done and you all reached safely at 9 pm". Which meant event the service center manager hadnt bothered getting in touch with him last night and he still had no idea.Is this treatment acceptable?
