I am frequent visitor of sundaram hospital, Anna Nagar for nearly 4 years for my family medical needs. I used to park my car in road side nearby hospital at all times( Not in no parking zones) and never came across anyone asking for parking charges . For the past three days from today (14th sept, 2022) am visiting this hospital daily for checkup of my pregnant wife. Today suddenly a guy barged in and asked for parking charges that too 20 rs (very high) for an hour, I said i am a regular customer to this hospital and till now no one asked for parking charges here and even yesterday no one was there for collecting charges. As i refused he called someone else who is his supervisor and along with him 2 more guys came to argue with me. That supervisor tone and behaviour was very unruly even though he can see that I have an pregnant wife and small kid they didn't let me to go to hospital rather they were arguing with me harshly. Especially that supervisor said i will take photo o[censored]r vehicle number and show you wat i can do. So i said do whatever you can . Not sure who gave him authority to take photo of my vehicle, is he a traffic police or did i violate any traffic rules. This incident has saddened my pregnant wife and small son, being a honest tax payer not sure why we be ill-treated like this in public. Moreover 20 rs per hour is way to high for a road side parking.. Even in big private malls parking charges are 30-40 rs per hour. Here we don have the liberty to even visit a hospital during emergency. Its a unfortunate condition for any true indian. Kindly make sure to avoid such unruly behaviour and charging such high parking charges . That too nearby 24 hrs hospital were there will be mostly emergency cases.
