I register my grievances about the following condition on behalf of the public interest
I have been running a shop in Dr. Radhakrishnan Road, Poonamalle High Road, Arumbakkam, Chennai-600 106. The environment, pedestrians, hygiene, and other social activities have been spoiled by the Garbage bins that are placed on the road. Regarding the inconvenience caused by the Garbage bins, I lodged many complaints through the Chennai corporation Official port, Swach Bharath and contacted some officials regarding the removal of the garbage bin.
Finally, I gave Rs.2000/- to one of the Corporation Officials who is in-charge of my area on his demand. I requested on behalf of the public interest, my request came to action; however, the same was not lost even for a day. After a day, the garbage bins were placed again in the same spot.
Only the two bins have been placed for the entire Poonamalle High Road. Besides, the garbage bins intact with the sewage that flows from the drainage. Even, this worst situation was forwarded to the official, but all efforts fell in vain.
The inaccessible and shabby place turned the dwelling for drunkards, public urinal and other immoral activities. There is an EB box just behind the Garbage bin and it turned into a secret place for many uncultured activities. As this area is encompassed with Schools, Colleges, Hospitals, the students and pedestrians feel disgusted to cross the secret and untidy place. Due to the sewage and garbage bins, the entire area is filled with dreadful mosquitoes which would pave many life-threatening diseases.
I herewith enclose a few images and the reader of the mail can clearly understand the worst situation. I hope the concerned official in Chennai Corporation could come forward to sort out the social issue. If this case does not fall on your desk, please forward the matter to the right person/guide me whom I shall contact to. I am looking forward your helping hand to remove the garbage bins, clean the sewage from drainage to shield all o[censored]s from such unethical issues.
