For the last more than two months, work of construction of new drains has been going on in Pamposh Enclave. The work is over now. However, the contractor has left the whole colony in a position worse than before the work was started. The contractor has left the entire colony poorly dug up with sand / dust all over.
Worst is the quality of the wok done - the flow of the drain is faulty resulting in the water remaining stagnant in the drains. Since the drain covers are perforated, there is a constant foul smell emanating from the drains (especially in the lane parallel to the outer ring road). Besides, the drain has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes; there is sudden increase in the mosquito population.
On the one hand, the MCD spends so much on educaing the public on how to prevent vector borne diseases Sadly, on the other hand, its own civil works are leading to more mosquito hazard for the residents of Pamposh Enclave. Was this information helpful? |
