Residents of flat no 16d of bg-5 block, paschim vihar, new delhi - 63 is building highly risky unauthorized permanent structures on the entire roof of the building containing flats 16a, 16b, 16c & 16d.
They have already erected significant brick walls on the roof without any safety measure, completely ignoring and violating the basic safety requirement of the entire building. These buildings are already more than 30 years old and such permanent structures on the entire roof (Just like complete 5th floor) is a serious threat to the safety of the building and to our lives.
Hope, you would appreciate that no one should and must not engage in such unauthorised permanent construction of complete 5th floor on a building designed to bear load upto 4th floor only risking property of flats down owned by other people & lives of so many people
We request your high office to take immediate action to ensure dismantling of the unsafe unauthorised permanent construction already erected and not allowing to build further at all, in future.
Kindly consider who will be responsible if the building collapses due to this unsafe, unauthorised permanent construction by flat no 16 d and all o[censored]s loose the property we have built by spending our fortune and more importantly if so many people loose our lives (Residents of flat no 16a, b, c)

Based on my earlier complaint dated 25th March, 2019, person from MCD visited site and asked to demolish the unauthorized structure. Only a small outside portion (boundary wall) was demolished just as an eye wash. Immediately I informed NDMC official. However, the illegally constructed structure remained intact. In our absence, they further continued work and made a complete floor on roof illegally without considering load bearing capability of the building. Repeat its an old (almost 35 years old) building. Such huge illegal construction on roof is a serious threat to the safety of the building and our life.
The earlier visit and action taken by MCD representative was just a formality without taking appropriate action and ensuring complete demolition of the entire unauthorized construction on the roof.The same is just not acceptable. If any mishap occurs to the building and our life, who will be responsible?
Request your good office to visit the site immediately, inspect it and ensure immediate demolition of the entire unauthorized structure on the roof
