Municipal Corporation Of Faridabad — Urgent Complaint Regarding Cow Dung Menace Poor Cleanliness and Garbage Disposal in Sector 9, Faridabad

I would like to bring to your urgent attention the deteriorating cleanliness conditions in Sector 9, Faridabad, particularly in the sector lanes and around the HUDA markets.

The most serious and persistent issue is cow dung being scattered across the sector's internal lanes, roadsides and HUDA market areas. Cattle movement has resulted in cow dung being deposited extensively on the roads and pavements. In several places, it is left uncleared for prolonged periods, creating severe hygiene problems, attracting flies and making the lanes difficult and unsafe for pedestrians.

This situation is not merely an issue of aesthetics. It poses a public health and sanitation risk, particularly for children, senior citizens, shopkeepers and pedestrians. During rain, the problem becomes even worse as cow dung and garbage mix with stagnant water and spread across the roads.

I therefore request the concerned authorities to take immediate and sustained action, including:

Regular cleaning and sweeping of all internal lanes of Sector 9.
Immediate removal of accumulated cow dung from roads, pavements and HUDA market areas.
Regular and timely lifting of household and market garbage.
Installation/maintenance of adequate garbage collection points and bins wherever required.
Strict action to prevent cattle from roaming freely and creating repeated sanitation problems.
Regular inspection of the sector by sanitation officials to ensure that cleanliness standards are maintained.
Cleaning of HUDA market areas and surrounding public spaces on a regular schedule.
A dedicated mechanism for residents to report garbage and cow-dung accumulation and receive timely resolution.
Sector 9 is a prominent residential and commercial area, and its present sanitation conditions require urgent attention rather than occasional cleaning drives. The authorities are requested to undertake a comprehensive cleanliness drive immediately and put in place a regular monitoring system so that the problem does not recur.
