As you know, water is valuable yet scarce. Some people are not getting enough water to just fulfil their daily basic needs and on the other hand some people are stealing and storing water by making private tanks underground.
The tube-well, we are getting water from is feeding 120-150 families. Those families who have their houses near the tube-well get the benefits of water availability throughout the day. Furthermore, one of our neighbours is found to have a private water storage tank below the ground level apart from tanks which are kept at the terrace. There are only 4 members at home but still they don't switch their motor off and keep filling their tanks throughout the day. No one has the courage to ask them to shut the motor off and let the others fill theirs too. Tube-well only starts at night, hence we only have night to fill our tank as our house is far from the well. But due to our neighbours, we don't get this chance. We have started buying water from outside now. Please do the needful and take action on this illegal storage of water. Was this information helpful? |
