Dear Sr Inspector (Licence) and Sr Inspector ( Enchroachment), M west ward Mumbai 400071
See more than 2-3 shed /box stall structures have comeup since 2023 onwards near station and in Sahakar Nagar and Shell Colony on road and on foothpath, near nullah/gutter and station making it difficult for citizens and pedestrians to walk.
This colony has been No Hawking zone area ( within 150 mtr and beyond 150 mtrs) since my birth ( more than 50 years)
Increase in such food or other purpose stalls ( permenant and temporary), resulting in
-Dirt Accumulation, Nullah/gutter waste increase, Nullah / gutter water accumulation, crowd throwing waste/plastic other waste, encouraging other sellers to sell in morning and late night . This is also polluting our previously quiet colony.
- Also some stalls are set up after 6 pm from Shell Colony road till Kamgar Nagar, once BMC office closes
- Increase in pest, rodents on road.
Why is BMC keen on giving licence to such stalls, use all open areas for commercial purpose and not for Mumbai citizen peaceful living. Why not Plant more greenery and maintain it for years and not run after political pressure or money.
Request BMC to remove such structures set up in Non Hawking zone immediately ( within and beyond 150 meters too).
Not give any further licence to stalls on road and foothpath Shell Colony, Sahakar Nagar.
Regularly check and remove any enchroachment trying to advantage of early morning and after 6 Pm which are non working BMC hours.
Request BMC to work on planting trees in area and make our colony greener as before.
Regards,
Citizen of India
