My Wife went to Ahmadabad (Gujrat) From Kanpur (UP) on 5th November 2016 with my son who is in the Private job there. The announcement has been made on 8th Nov-2016 by Honorable PM of India for exchange of old currencies up to 30 th December in the bank and up to 31st march in RBI. On 9 th November 2016 my wife who is a house wife has contacted me over phone that she has Rs.9500/- in her almirah the key of which she has carried in her bag to Ahmadabad (Gujrat), I had also planned to visit Ahmadabad in the last week of January-17 accordingly I assured her to change the old currency in RBI during Feb-17.
After return from ahmadabad I prepared an affidavit from kanpur court and went to RBI kanpur from where I have been informed that the exchange of notes has been stopped .
