Hi, We were issued a cheque dated 391572 dated 7th August 2020 amounting to Rs. 1180/= as an adjustment amount to be returned after taking more amount in purchasing a new baleno automatic sedan.
The car was bought in June 2020, and after repeated reminders and calls, we were told that we would return the amount charged under the head "Loyalty Card" by Nexa, lajpat Nagar. The agreed to return the excess amount of Rs. 1180/= by cheque in 8-10 working days. The cheque reached me in August and was deposited in our savings account. The cheque was returned by the bank under the following head "Cheque Irregularly drawn". After we received the cheque back by the bank, we informed Nexa. No return of call for 3 days from them and when we sent an email, got 4 calls from them giving explaination saying that our cheque can never bounce, must have been some problem with the bank and wanted us to send the cipy of the cheque and the reason for bouncing, its 29th Aug and we are still waiting for an action from them, we have been asked to represent the cheque, we have told them clearly we would not represent the cheque, we would only accept cash along with bouncing charges deducted by bank Was this information helpful? |
