Nike India — I bought a shoe on a condition that they will return or replace if didn't like as gift

I brought a nike shoe on a condition that if gift is not liked we will return it and he said he will take as return and in return we can buy anything in any nike store. But he didn't say that we can only buy products which are not in offer why would some one take a product without offer when offer is going on. More over they don't have collection to buy or exchange any colour.
