OnePlus India — bad stock update bricked my phone
On 29 jan 2019, I received an update on my 1 year old oneplus 5t, during the update i got a message update failed and the only option was a button to reboot. I did the reboot and it bricked my phone, now the oneplus customer execs are asking me to come to their service center which is 35km away from my residence. And they have to do a complete reset of my phone which would lead to loss of entire data. What kind of pathetic quality assurance is that? Why should i loose my digital assets o[censored]tmost importance due to a problem with the company's way of handling things? I talked to the customer executives and have read online that the new android p updates were faulty from the get go for many users, still it was pushed by the company for eveyone. What i want is these super successful companies (One of the highest selling phone brand in india) to take charge for their actions and not push # products! (Yes the software they offer is also their product) i don't know how long i can go without my phone and will probably give in and let them erase my data which is potentially worth a lot of time and money. It makes me furious. Was this information helpful?
