I bought a one plus 8 pro 12gb+256gb on 14th july, 2020 from a store in gangtok, sikkim. Upon getting the phone i tried inserting both the sims but i’m the secondary sim doesnot work. There is an error message everything i insert the second sim.
The vendor then asked me to contact the customer care for more details.
I tried calling the customer care but the call doesnot connect after waiting for very long. I wrote a complain on their official page on 16th july, 2020 to which i received a response on 22nd july saying that my case has been raised with case id number[protected]. After which i spoke to the vendor and the vendor informed me that they are ready to exchange the phone if they receive an email confirmation from the company. Meanwhile, there was no response from the company and there was a complete lockdown in my state for 20 days due to the pandemic.
One day i got through their chat service in which i asked them to escalate the issue and the next day i received an email on 5th august, 2020 with a subject, “escalated issue on oneplue 8 pro”.
I mean look at their professionalism, they can’t even put a correct spelling.
And the content of the email was as follows,
“ thank you for contacting oneplus support.
Administrator 08/05/2020 11:00 am
It’s been a while since we heard from you, please respond to the earlier communication you received from oneplus. As your response will surely help us move faster towards a resolution.
Do check spam and the junk mails in case the email went to one of those folders of your inbox.”
To which i replied that i have been following on the email and that i haven’t received any response inspite of sending them numerous emails and in return they are replying me that the email might me in my spam.
I finally got through their customer care number today on 14th august, 2020. I spoke to the customer care executive and in the process there was no response from the customer care executive in between our conversation. I kept saying hello but there was no response. I waited for about 10 mins after which the call went onto the feedback call and got disconnected.
I tried calling the customer care again and after waiting for sometime again the call went to the feedback and got disconnected.
I am running out of patience now, i have but no option left other than to approach the concerned authorities and file a case against the company.
I have paid the entire amount of money to purchase a product and the product is faulty and on approaching the company for exchange of the product, there is no response. Instead they are blatantly ignoring customer issues and complaints.
