I have been using OnePlus from the last five year, I purchased a phone OnePlus8t in Oct 2020. It was working fine for the last two and half years . Just two month ago There was an update on the operating system and after updating software my phone screen appeared with 1 green line in the center and later it turned into two lines in the middle of the screen vertically.
I went to the Authorised service center Bhilwara to get this fixed(Request Id IN08152x[protected], He rejected my request for free replacement of this green line issue by saying that your device is physically damaged and he was not agree that issue came after OS update only(my device has minor dent at upper side edge but it was too old even before 1 year, the phone was working perfectly with some minor dents which are not even noticeable at first look) .
He just kept me busy contacting customer care to get approval for free replacement. I tried a couple of methods to communicate but nobody gave me a proper answer and just said that only technical engineers(service center guys can help me on that). Service center guy kept my device for more than 5 days without any update.
After getting negligence in the service I took my phone back and went to. Exclusive service center, Pink Square Mall Raja Park jaipur. They also demanded money(approx Rs.14500) to get that fixed and even did not consider that this screen bug appeared due to software update.They believe that the issue came from physical damage not due to OS update. they were asking me to prove that the issue came from an OS update(that was not possible to demonstrate).
Here I also tried contact over social media(twitter) but they are not helping me and just repeating fixed defined text that only Technicians can decide on replacement. Here the actual pain comes: Service centers are only willing to make money by setting screens without providing any service.
This is a complete loss of Rs15000 due to operating system update. I would request to help me get this sort
