Our company scope of supply is of rice, pulses, spices, food grains, fresh fruits and fresh vegetables. With great expectations, have started business with m/s opc foodstuff trading llc.in conspiracy, dubai, having its registered address at office 202, al etihad building, port saeed, po box: 90357, dubai (Uae), ( (+[protected]/[protected]Residence no[protected] uae. Trade licence no 848732. Dubai chamber registration no : 1442801 and got cheated very stupidly

Mr. Dilip joshi as business development manager, contacted us over phone and induced us to do business with him, so as to supply perishable goods to dubai to his company, under the garb that he had a very heavy requirement in middle east and that his payment will be also cleared in short spans. After mutual discussion, he started to place orders and negotiate the terms and conditions and pricing of products. Initially it was agreed for 30 % advance policy and 70 % within 7 days from the issuance of the invoice of the order to be exported.

Since, mr. Dilip joshi had deceived us into believing that the payments for his orders are released very quickly and he portrayed to us that he had to fulfill an urgent order, he forced and induced us to take no advance and 100 % will be paid within 12 days to 15 days after goods will reach. We further state that they initiated the business by inducing us to believe that he had a huge demand and required the goods immediately and the remaining payment will also be initiated quickly.

After the 6th container was realized we started demanding the full payment of the first three containers, he started reasoning that his owner had been to saudi for recovery and due to covid-19 lockdown he is unable to travel and mean time forwarded us scan copies of telegraphic transfer form raised by opc foodstuff. But started reasoning that the bank required original signature copy of owner and was waiting for the owner to return to dubai from saudi arabia.

Also he himself communicated to us thru whatsapp that was hospitalized for pancreatic surgery and mr. Majid will be in communication further. Majid asked to wait for 10 days till 15 april so arrangements of payments can be done. Same time mr. Farooq (Owner) also communicated with us on whatsapp that he will realize our tt on 20th april at any cost. On 23rd april, mr. Dilip communicated us that the owner mr farooq has flew off taking all the money and he is going to switch off his phone from now.

Total fraud done by this opd foodstuff is of 100 crores with more than 100 indian exporters

The Apathy in these all transactions is that even the verification and Status clearance report by ECGC turned bad within 3 months itself. Subsequently the Institute flagged it/POC a Fraudulent Company. But what about the Exporters, who went ahead during this 3 months tenure. Is there any higher body/corporation/Authorities from CG to think over this 3 months, and exporters caught in the export transactions during these 3 months. ECGC being the support -will it take a broader outlook. CORONA HAS BURNT THE SMALL EXPORTERS IN THIS PERIOD.SPECIALLY THE SMALL EXPORTERS WHO DEPLOYED THEIR OWN FUNDS.Hope justice.
A Solution to recover the loss suffered is also available for exporters that got scammed.
