[Resolved]  PayUMoney — Fraudulent Credit card transactions

Dear Sir Sub Fraudulent transaction for 2.2 lacs Ref SBI PRIME IRCredit
Card [protected] On Thursday January 27 I got a call from a Mr. Vijay
(Mobile number: +[protected] who claimed to be a staff of State Bank of
India Employee ID SBI 800502 from Nungambakkam branch regarding my
previous request to upgrade my credit card and took my OTP to freeze 3
transactions ( two txn for 90, 000 and one txn for 40, 000). Subsequently I got a
call from SBI credit card helpdesk to advise them that this is a fraudulent
transaction and they have raised a dispute with the merchant Payu Payment
GyftrVi Gurgaon I called Vijay yesterday and asked him to reverse. Vijay is
assuring me that the amount has only been frozen and will be credited back to my
account in a day or two. SBI advised me lodge an FIR with the nearest police
station to investigate and assist in reversal of this fraudulent transaction I have
submitted the complaint to the local police station this morning. They advised me
to log a complain on thi sportal as well Request you assistance to resolve please

We regret the inconvenience caused. Please note that all transactions processed through PayU payment gateway are processed with a Two-factor authentication mechanism. Please note that the mentioned transaction/s were processed only after the 2nd-factor confirmation like OTP/PIN/Online password from the customer’s end. Also, there is very less probability of stopping/reversing such transactions. Never share your card number, CVV, PIN, OTP, Internet Banking User ID & Password with anyone via any means. Sharing these details can lead to unauthorized access to your account and PayU will not be liable for any loss arising due to any such unauthorized transaction/s. In this unforeseen situation if you need the details of the transaction/s or want this to be investigated further, please raise your query to the nearest Cyber cell office and they shall facilitate you on the further process.

Thanks for your reponse. The fraudster posed to me a Staff memeber of the Bank and tehrefore was not easy to identify. The transactions numbers are (i[protected]for INR 90, 000), (ii[protected]for INR 90, 000) and (iii[protected]for INR 40, 000). Will it be possible for you to share the contact detial sof the person to whom the payment was made? I have alrady lodged a police complaint / FIR with the Tamilnadu Police and they are investiagting and taking all steps to apprehend the fraudster. I have also lodged a complaint with the Cybercrime portal (Acknowledgement Number : [protected])., Any additional detail that you can provide about the beneficiary willgreatly help the law enforcement to nab the culprit in the shortest possible time. Please let me know if this is possinble- thanks

I have already lodged a police complaint / FIR with the Tamilnadu Police and they are investigating and taking all steps to apprehend the fraudster.
