Dear Sir,
Sub: Fraudulent transaction for 2.2 lacs
Ref: SBI PRIME Credit Card 4047 xxxx xxxx 3602
On Thursday January 27, I got a call from a Mr. Vijay (Mobile number: +[protected] who claimed to be a staff of State Bank of India (Employee ID: SBI 800502) from Nungambakkam branch regarding my previous request to upgrade my credit card and took my OTP to freeze 3 transactions (2*90, 000 and 1 * 40, 000).
Subsequently, I got a call from SBI credit card helpdesk to advise them that this is a fraudulent transaction and they have raised a dispute with the merchant (Payu Payment – GyftrVi Gurgaon).
I called Vijay yesterday and asked him to reverse. Vijay is assuring me that the amount has only been frozen and will be credited back to my account in a day or two.
SBI advised me lodge an FIR with the nearest police station to investigate and assist in reversal of this fraudulent transaction.
Thanks & Regards
Navin Vijaykumar
