Myself, suhas, i ordered the bed on 1st of october 2017 and received in 2 weeks from pepperfry.com worth 10, 000 after discount with one year warranty. The bed was unstable ever since the installation as the entire bed is made of wooden planks that are not thick and of poor quality. As i raised the concern, the carpenter convinced me saying that the bed will be fairly durable as i am about to use a good quality 6-inches mattress (Bought from pepperfry).
It has been 6 months now and the planks are broken from the joint despite of proper care and all the planks have been loosened. I spoke to the customer care executives of pepperfry and emailed continuously to the concerned team as well on 10th to 19th of april. A carpenter from pepperfry visited our place and confirmed that it's a manufacturing defect owing to the weak joints (I have the recording), he also didn't fix it saying that it will again get loosened and break down.
Pepperfry has denied the warranty stating that it's "wear and tear" and it's not covered under return policy or warranty - it cannot be considered as "wear and tear" by any means or definition as the damage hasn't occurred due to improper use or by ageing. Moreover their own carpenter has stated that this has happened due to its poor framework and weak joints.
It clearly shows that the pepperfry is scamming with warranty just to build trust amongst buyers and later deny the claim on warranty calling it as a "wear and tear".
Below are the details and the pics of defective product, invoice are attached.
