Policy Bazaar — cheating/misguiding

Dear sir

I am a regular customer of policy bazaar, and have done many policies – 4 ulip plans, yearly health insurance, and recent health insurance for my brother.

I am very disheartened and frustrated with the way my hdfc life click 2 wealth plans were handled by policy bazzar. Your staffs have been continuously cheating with me.

I recently invested in 2 ulip plans from hdfc life click 2 wealth from policy bazaar -

1st policy:

Hdfc life click 2 wealth

Policy no: 22000341

Premium monthly: 50, 000/- (Monthly)

Date of birth: 07/07/1981

Eia no:[protected]

2nd policy:

Hdfc life click 2 wealth

Policy no: 22101229

Premium monthly: 20, 000/- (Monthly)

Date of birth: 07/07/1981

Complaints:

1. Around 1 month ago while i was communicating with policy bazaar and thinking about whether to invest in my first ulip plan (Hdfc life click 2 wealth), policy bazaar agent said today is the last date for payment if i want to avail some special benefit. He said i can make a payment now and think about it in few days, and if i did not like it will be cancelled. I paid 50000-. Pb agents called repeatedly to complete documents in order to start policy. However i kept saying i need few days and then i will submit my itr if im going for this policy. One day when i decided that im not going for this plan and told pb agent, then they immediately sent me a message that my documents are complete and policy will be issued. I told them but they did not listen to me. They said i can cancel it i want. So my complaint is policy bazaar was so desperate to sell me a policy that without my completing documents they started my policy. This is unfair. You just wanted to sell your product.

2. Anyway i thought i can not proceed with this policy, rather i would go for lesser premium ulip. So asked with miss anshikha (Phone no [protected]) who was guiding me for ulips during the whole process. She said the first policy cannot be cancelled but new policy can be purchased of lesser premium. I made a payment of 20000/- monthly premium. I asked her what is the procedure to cancel first policy of 50000/- monthly policy. She said i need not do anything for this, she will initiate the cancellation and get my 50000/- refund on priority basis. Later i came to know that policy can be cancelled only through my registered email. I kept asking her for nest few days but she kept saying no need to anything, she has initiated cancellation and refund. She lied to me and misguided me. She just wanted me to sell another policy. I have the records of text messages with me.

3. So far i have not received any policy bond. Its been more than one month for policy no 22000341 and more than 2 weeks for policy no: 22101229.

4. Finally when i explained my problems to pb agent, one female staff of pb called me from a landline no at 05:53 pm from [protected]. She apologized for the miscommunication which was done to me. She said they have discussed my case and found a solution. She said all that i need to do is to write an email to [protected]@policybazaar.com mentioning that i want to cancel my both ulip plans. All the money will be refunded to me in 1 week time. I repeatedly asked but the procedure is to fill up a cancellation form and send it through my registered email to official id. But she seemed so confident and convincing that nothing to be done from my side. Just write an email. I told her my free look period is getting over in just 2 days. But she assured me that no need to worry. I mailed. Now that phone is not reachable. My free look period if over and auto payment done. I am helpless and frustrated with the guidance policy bazzar is giving.

I have explained all the details to hdfc life services and policy bazaar. But nothing is being done. Now my 1 lac has got locked for 5 years.

I have just realized that policy bazaar just want to sell its policies no matter what happens. They do not care later if there is any problems. The staffs are cheater. Misguide a lot. Lie a lot.

I would sincerely request you take some concern in my case and find out a solution.

I have paid rs.13400/- on 03/11/2019 for term insurance through ur portal vide app no[protected] hdfc life click . The policy got rejected but i have not received. my refund till now.
