Policy Bazaar — mis selling term insurance policy and rude behaviour | |||
Today[protected] i had purchased a comprehensive policy for car insurance. After I had purchased the policy i received a call on my phone [protected] from policy bazaar executive asking me as to why i did not purchase life term policy which was given as an offer along with the car insurance at a meager premium of rs 340 for 25 lacs. This actually was a trap as there was no offer of term policy bundled with car policy. She then said that she would send the link separately on my mail. She also insisted that i should use only credit card to make payment.The company issuing term policy was Max insurance where as i had purchased car insurance from oriental india. When i enquired from her that what would be the frequency of payment, she replied that i would have to make the next payment when i again renew by car policy( indirectly implying annual payment of Rs 340). By that time i had read the terms and condition which clearly mentioned that policy has to be paid on monthly basis. There fore i inquired from her as to why she was mis selling this policy to me. On seeing that her ploy to deceive me had been caught by me, she started abusing me and disconnected the phone. i am not sure whether policy bazaar is aware of what there call center executives are doing..
