14th Dec - I made a payment of 35465/- towards Reliance super topup policy (Agent : Richa). I was told that the policy soft copy will be given in 24-48 hours.
16th Dec - I dropped email for status update. I did not receive any reply. I called 3 times for status update. I was told that a callback will happen in 10 mins. I did not receive any call back. Seeing lack of support, I dropped an email to cancel the policy and asked for a refund. I was promised by Saurabh (Policybazaar employee) that the refund will be initiated in 24 hours.
17th Dec - I followed up with your team to understand why the refund has not happened in 24 hours. I was told by Shubham Sharma that the refund will happen in 7 days. Later I connected to Aryan and shared the scenario with him. Finally I got a call from Divya and was told that the refund will take 10-15 days. Also I received an acknowledgement by Neha on my emails.
20th Dec - I received information that the super topup policy has been issued. I dropped an email to [protected]@policybazaar on why was the policy purchased 4 days after i asked for cancellation. I did not receive any response back.
21st Dec - I got a call from policybazaar to verify the details on my policy. When I told them that I had already asked for a refund 5 days ago, the person on the call was clueless. I dropped an email to care and have been finally connected to Pankaj Sharma (Grievance officer). I was promised complete refund by 31st Dec
27th Dec - I received partial refund of 31110/-. I dropped an email asking for remaining amount. I did not get any response back.
1st Jan - I was told that the refund will be processed by 4th Jan.
4th Jan - Again got call from Neha that they are pursuing the insurance company for refund and that I have to wait for 2 more days.
Why am I being harrassed for a refund when the policy was purchased 4 days after I requested for refund? It seems that when policybazaar saw that the customer is asking for refund, they purchased the policy so that they can get the brokerage for the same.
I have been chasing them on email with their officers [protected]@policybazaar.com & [protected]@policybazaar.com, however i am not getting proper response from them.
