Pratham Foundation — Is this genuine?

Address:New Delhi, Delhi, 110049
Website:www.prathamfoundation.org

I have been receiving calls from delhi from some manish and some lady by the numbers,[protected] and[protected] asking donation for a baby with cancer. they showed me the trust registration number and IT registration details, but i know that is not enough.

their trust deed is registered in name of some angelo k anto, who also has another trust by the name, Mother Concern.

i tried to grill the lady and she said she has been hired a week back only and that 1000 people are employed for various functions, banking / etc. she further said she isnt paid anything as a salary. on rejecting calls, their guy manish started sending abuses saying shame on me and all.

usually genuine trusts come out open in the public with details on their trustees and get often covered and verified by various third party media. this trust has no info in the website on people behind and who is the real man...i asked mobile no and address of angelo k anto and the person didnt respond anything...

if anybody has a genuine info on this trust, do pass along. i am also intiating a police complaint against them...i have nothing personal against this trust, but if this is a fraud (in case it is), then genuine people are missing donation because of them is the only problem i have..

I got a similar call from the same foundation saying that a girl named Rachna needs help . She is suffering from cancer.. The cost for the chemo is some 2lac rupees. Even I am not sure if it is genuine.
I too got a call from this foundation asking for a donation...The guy ( don't want to mention name) kept calling me and sending me msgs ..I finally made the donation of 5200/- ...While doing I strictly said no more calls ...This should be last...He too agreed . But immediately after 30 mins he again calls up telling ...Another new case has come up...A man needs money for paralysis treatment...I was so pissed off...It was like as though I grow money on trees...I had to block him.
Places do good deeds nearby your area . We have so many organizations near us . See with your eyes and provide your help. After all we worked to earn those money.
I also got call. They guided me to a page of government NGO list and all. And I was being insisted to pay money quickly. The guy said that he's a student volunteer. I checked up a bit on internet. This NGO was associated with another ngo called mother's concern which as googled was found to be fake.
I got a call from some one called Mohit Thakur, says he is from Delhi. He mentioned that a baby named Karan needed immediate medical care and it required 35k or so. I usually avoid these calls as they often turn out to be spammers.
However, this person was very persistent and sought to emotional blackmail using phrases like "would you not do this if your family was in trouble", "tell me honestly from the heart if you will donate or not" and things like "I am student from Delhi and I have contributed". He also sent me a message and directed me to the 'ngo.india.gov.in' asking me to search under a unique ID - 98685. While i was initially moved with all this and actually thought this to be a legitimate NGO, i did a quick search online search saw the following links which made me resort to my earlier views (that this is a scam):

Many confirm this to be a fake NGO registered under a 'Mr.Angelo K Anto'. In fact there is a notice posted on the top left corner of the legit web page of Pratham which says that they are in no way associated to Pratham Foundation and shall not be responsible or liable for any act or omission of Pratham Foundation.

Charity is an act of being a blessing to someone and helping them in a time of their need and it is definitely something that should never be thrown around lightly. Trying to swindle money in the name of charity is a highly disgraceful act and those that participate in such activities need to come under very strict legal scrutiny and punishment.

I also get called from the same foundation from the number as "[protected]", they asked that a child is badly injured and burnt, so we have requirement of money regarding it, she also told that this organisation helps the people.
I got a call twice from Pratham Foundation. I don't understand why are they calling again and again. The numbers from which I received a Call is [protected] and [protected].
Please take a strict action against these numbers.
I got call from Pratham Foundation saying that a baby was in urgent need of an operation. As I wasn't sure about how legit the call was I asked for a mail to be sent to my personal ID. The mail never came through but they kept calling me for the next three days. Finally when I came across all the articles about the org being fake, I told them that I am not going to donate anything to the organization to which the lady on the phone replies with a very sarcastic 'WOW' and immediately hangs up on me.
What they get from swindling random people leaves me clueless. This is utterly shameful!
i also got call from [protected], they are fake
they called me asked me to donate money for Sandhya baby, who got electrocuted,
they called me 3 times ..
and i already know they are fraud so did not paid them, kindly note - prathamfoundation.org is a big FRAUD . Do not Donate anything !!
they called me from - [protected]
even i got calls from saying pratham foundation, even i donated up to 5500rs. please dont believe these people, they are trying to cheat public and make money with their mesmorizing words. if interested donate by visiting the ngo places near by. I dont why there is still these kind of fradualent happening even after some many complaints about this organization
