I started receiving calls from Pratham Care Foundation since last few months. They used to share some case history and ask for monetary contribution. This became a casual thing and they started reaching out to me on monthly basis on every month end or last week of month. Today i was called from different numbers screenshot attached with contact numbers. They said its pratham foundation and they want donation for a kid with burn injuries. The person's who called me was shaun, others might get a call with different name.

I asked them to send the details and they gave me their website www.prathamfounation.org. firstly the website looked out of place and on searching on google it did not show up.

They sent an email with some kids with burns across the body, he told the its ultimate emergency else he wouldn't have called.

First they said donate whatever you like. When i quoted 1500 then they said please give 5000.

They started calling me brother, your a god will bless you and stuff.

I just wanted to be sure that it was a fake organisation and in reddit i came across other people's complaints which confirmed.

I would request you to don't get fooled.

Got to know, the pratham foundation is fake and and as they as asking donation to help hospitalized children and making money out of it. Even i donated amount later got to know its fake from forums

Few days ago I received a call from a person claiming to be a representative of an NGO Pratham foundation. He asked for donation of a girl who is severely burned, I was driving then and I told him can't talk right now and I disconnected the phone. Then today I received a phone call from same person and I told him that I have certain budget for charity every 6 months and I have already done my part in some other way so I don't want to donate to your charity. He then arrogantly asked me that why you did not tell this to me the other day when I called you. And then when I shouted at him he started calling me that you are mad. I disconnected the call. Iam sure he is not from any foundation and some guys are running some money making racket. Otherswise such arrogance is not expected from people who seek donations

Today i was called from this 2 numbers [protected] and [protected]. They said its pratham foundation and they want donation for a kid with burn injuries. I asked them to send the details and they gave me their website www.prathamfounation.org. firstly the website looked out of place and on searching on google it did not show up. First they said donate whatever you like. When i quoted 2000 then they said please give 5000. Started calling me sister god will bless you and stuff. I just wanted to be sure that it was a fake organisation and in reddit i came across other people's compaints which confirmed my doubt.

Today i got a call from [protected] and he said he is heman and calling from pratham foundation. He started speaking about a burn case of baby sandhya and said urgent operation is required and for that we need donation. I asked him to take her to charitable hospital or getting help from cm relief fund and he said we already got half amount from cm relief fund and rest we are arranging. He keep telling me the emergency and emotional sentences so that i will transfer immediate donation. I asked for proof he asked me to go to ngodarpan.gov.in and asked me to enter pratham in ngo name so it showed some page with registration details and he also showed there entry in income tax website as 80g certificate. I was confused as he was asking donation up to 10000 and saying atleast pay for one injection cost i. E. 1500 rs. I was confused so i just transferred 250rs to them but he is still sending whatsapp messages and emotional sentences. Looks like they are fraud. So i searched in consumer complaint and found there are hundred of complaint already present here for this organisation. This kind of incident stop us to help others who needs actual help.

Pratham foundation — it is a fake ngo asking for money

Today on 20 jul 2017, i got a call from a person named kajal yadav from pratham foundation with phone number [protected]. She said that a girl named sandhya is injured severely and they need a donation of rs 2550 immediately for her injection. The same needs to be paid through their website prathamfoundation.org. It has some photos of students from some school in delhi. She was very good at convincing me and kept saying brother, brother please help, it's really urgent, don't put my call down, i'll wait and hold the call, just make the payment immediately. But when she said that she is in a great hurry, i got suspicious and thought of googling the veracity of the website before making any payment and thank god, i found this forum. Please be aware and don't fall for such spam calls. The real website is pratham.org.

I got a call from person introducing himself as volunteer from Pratham foundation.
I feel this is a fake call.
The volunteer (introduced himself a s Manish-[protected]) kept calling since saturday and dropped an email with an attachment showing the pics of child suffering from Burns.
He also stated that the girl needs some surgery and needs the money immediately.
I doubt if the organization is genuine as I have read that many got this kind of fake calls from Pratham foundation.

I got this call from pratham foundation and I have recorded the call too. When I said I am not interested in donating anything, he started misbehaving and calling repeatedly. Started threatening in the name of God. I want to know how can I lodge a police complaint and take action against these fake people. I have the call recordings.

When I asked to give his name and details, he started calling names to me.

I would like to complain against an ngo named pratham foundations who have been calling me repeatedly inspite of telling them not to call me again. I have been receiving their phone calls since about 1 year. When i asked them from where did they get my no. They avoided telling. Latest phone call was made by mr ashish on 17 jun 17 at 11:08 am. He wasn't ready to understand that i'm not interested in donating anything for this ngo and he misbehaved.

I received a call from [protected]/[protected] lakshmi rana and daniel telling that one of the child is burnt and undergoes surgery and they need 1565 to be donated.. However, they kept continuing and dint allow me to cut. I was running for a meeting so i said i will get back in few minutes. Still they insisted. Having a doubt i checked online about the company. Good that i identified it as fake. They kept calling me. When i told them that i found out their fake company, one of the girl texted my number that i was wrong thing and i cannt think tht they are cheating. Beware ppl. Cheating ngo

I too got a call today from Manish Kumar who was associated with Pratham foundation. He sounded like an illiterate person reading content written somewhere. He asked me to donate money urgently for a child Karan whose condition was critical. He told me that I can check on the website www.ngo.india.gov.in about the details of this foundation. As I had a doubt, I told him I'm busy now & will do the transaction in the evening. He said, "You can wait I can wait but the child cannot wait". I disconnected the call & then he inboxed me. I checked on the internet & found out that it's fake. If there are so many complaints about it, I wonder why still no actions have been taken.

They said they need pending amount of Rs 25500 for the sugery of Kara Sing immediately in the out of total required amount of Rs.166000.

After 20 minutes of discussion I transferred amount through their site below as I am in trance

I requested several times to revert some of the amount as I am running short of amount and later i can pay in terms if required.

They rejected as if they made the payment to the hospital in Noida.

Kindly take action against these fake people. They cheat genuine and sensitive people towards society.
They are spoiling good will of the foundations like www.Pratham.org

27/04/2017, I got call from Pratham Foundation.

They ask me for help for Child as I saw all detail and verified that it is Register with government approval.

I tried to make Rs. 5000 amount to donate but unfortunately credit card was fully used and no balanced amount so I cant..

Now they called me from account dipartment and ask me Why you didnt I said all thing, , , They called me chutiye, , sorry but i feel that. and they know all think that You are tried to make 5000 rs amount from credit card and all so just worried that they surly get all information whatever we fill in there website...

I have been receiving calls from delhi from some manish and some lady by the numbers,[protected] and[protected] asking donation for a baby with cancer. they showed me the trust registration number and IT registration details, but i know that is not enough.

their trust deed is registered in name of some angelo k anto, who also has another trust by the name, Mother Concern.

i tried to grill the lady and she...

Today I got a call from a person named Nipun jain from pratham foundation with phone number [protected]. He was saying that a girl named shanya is injured severely and they need a donation. So I donated 2500 rs immediately and later I found that this is a fake organisation. Thier website is www.Prathamfoundation.org. He spoke to me for atleast 30 minutes that I got brainwashed and donated the money. He has shown me some certificated and government...

I support the cause of children and thus have donated to Pratham Foundation several times. I have been donating both money as well as old stuff like stationary material, clothes etc. Each time that I donated there, they gave me the receipt for the donation done but a week back I donated Rs. 1500 online to them and I haven't received the receipt for the same till date. Earlier too I had donated money online and the receipt used to reach my mail the same day or maximum by the next day but this time it hasn't reached me yet.
