I am Ruchita Somani and a dog bite victim in Kharadi area, Gera Commerzone, Pune.
This area is full of street dogs and multiple attacks have happened to older people and children. These street dogs, who are most probably infected chases bikers, walkers and has led to multiple incidents.
The night incident happened with me, everything was very quiet and suddenly dog came and bit me.
PMC is just not doing anything on this even after several complaints.
Not sure, if they will react if their own family member becomes victim.
Then there is an association of dog lovers who opposes any steps planned or taken by any authority. These association is completely insensitive about the pain of victim family.
I am more worried if a small child gets attacked, how difficult it is to bear that pain and agony. Posting the incident here with an expectation of some action from the relevant authorities. I will keep my fight on !
