Punjab State Power Corporation [PSPCL] — Incorrect Meter Reading and Excess Bill (PSPCL)

Would like to bring to your notice a serious issue regarding my electricity billing. For several months, I was issued zero bills without proper meter reading. Despite this, I have regularly paid all the bills generated till March, and I have proof of the same.

Recently, I have been issued an excessive bill of ?321, 20, with the explanation that no readings were taken earlier and the previous bills were incorrect. This situation has arisen due to the negligence of PSPCL officials.

Furthermore, from July to December, tenants were residing at the property. If I had been informed earlier about the issue, I could have recovered the charges from them. Now they have vacated, and I am being unfairly asked to pay the entire amount.

I would also like to highlight that incorrect meter readings have been recorded multiple times in the past, for which I had already raised complaints and got corrections done.

I kindly request you to investigate this matter, revise the bill accordingly. I have all the necessary documents and proof of regular payments and I have already paid the bill till December. 2025.

I hope for a fair resolution at the earliest.
