[Resolved]  Radcliffe School, Cbd Belapur, Navi Mumbai — Non refund of admission/donation fee paid.

Dear Sir, I want to lodge my complaint against Radcliffe School in CBD Belapur, Sector 11 Navi Mumbai for non-refund of donation/admission fee paid. Brief of my case as under – I took admission of my daughter for Junior KG/Buds on 12th February 2013 by paying a donation/admission fee they demanded i.e. INR 20, 000/- by cheque along with registration fee of INR 500/- by cash. Date of birth of my daughter is 10th January 2010. On April 2013 after collecting uniforms to attend class, School informed us, since my child hasn’t completed 3 & half years of age, we got to enroll her for ‘Nursery’ instead of ‘Junior KG’. We declined since my daughter was already attending a Nursery school & admission was sought from Radcliffe School Belapur, for Junior KG. Radcliffe declined to refund our donation fee paid & claimed we can enroll the kid for next academic year. Since admission of my daughter didn’t work out in CBD Belapur & when I had to re-locate from Navi Mumbai to Mumbai central suburbs for personal reasons, I requested Radcliffe school to refund donation/admission fees paid, which I can use for school expense of my child elsewhere. However despite repeated / written follow up for over 6 months, Radcliffe continue to decline, claiming admission fee is non-refundable, without accepting the simple fact that admission/donation fee is paid for admission of a child in school, however in our case apart from paying money, my daughter didn’t attend any class at Radcliffe or initiate schooling with them. Copy of all correspondence exchanged with School in this regard, along with receipt of donation/registration fee paid, is available.
