This cheap reporting is not a casual one but a well thought write-up. I may draw your kind attention to the following anomaliesand unverified baseless statements caused a severe damage to a long earned goodwill in the public domain. 4. Statement with respect to the decision of EC for not giving any Departmental responsibilityisout of context.
5. Unsupported statement pertaining to duration of inquiry i.e., two years is self-cooked or supported by some intra university rivals.
6. Statement onthe issue of study tour during lockdown is baseless and fabricated and is a matter of suspicious involvement of the correspondent with the intra university grumbled elements.
7. Statement on students beingstuck is false and out of journalistic jurisdiction andwithout mention ofsource of informationis purely a cock and bull story
8. News item in reference to senior teacher to accompany the tour isa falsely reportedwithout the expert/ office opinion/ referral of supporting documents on this issue.

The aforesaid use of derogatory term, false, fabricated facts and misinformation in the ‘Patrika’ newspaper has caused public humiliation and inflicted injury to my public image, dignity and liberty vis-a-vis the name and fame of the University. It calls for an immediate explanation on the above raised points by return of post within ten days and necessary action be initiated against the professional misconduct of concerned journalists (the Reporter and the editor of the edition) for their callousness and highhandedness in publishing fabricated news.Otherwise the undersignedwill be left with no option but to initiate legalproceedings involving civil and criminal defamation.
