I am filing this complaint against Rakuten Insight regarding the unfair cancellation of a ₹100 PhonePe gift voucher. Despite completing numerous surveys and successfully reaching the redemption threshold, my reward—which was already in the "processing" stage—was cancelled without valid justification.
I have contacted their support team multiple times, only to receive a scripted response stating that my account is "frozen" and the reward is "cancelled."
Under consumer guidelines and as per my consultation with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), a reward that has already entered the processing stage is considered the earned property of the consumer. The platform does not have the right to retroactively cancel earned rewards without providing specific proof of a policy violation. Other reputable survey platforms honor pending rewards even if an account is flagged, yet Rakuten Insight has chosen to withhold my payment.
I spent my valuable time and data to provide honest feedback for their clients. Withholding this payment is a breach of trust and a violation of consumer rights.
Desired Resolution:
I demand the immediate release of my ₹100 PhonePe gift voucher to my registered email address and a clear explanation for the account freeze.
