Refromatic — Fraudulent sale of Refrigerator by Refromatic

We had purchased a Whirlpool proton refrigerator from the above mentioned dealer (Mr. Zubair Ahmed and Mr. Shoaib) after seeing an advertisement of it in Facebook marketplace. The fridge was mentioned as refurbished. An amount of Rs.11, 500/- was paid along with our old refrigerator for which Rs. 4500/- was deducted from the total cost. (The total cost of the fridge was Rs.16000/-). After this, we got it delivered. But, the fridge we got was in a totally awful condition and wasn't even ned properly. We had contacted them to cancel the purchase but they refused. Even after visiting their place and repeated calls, they did not respond. This took place in the early days of February 2022. This fraudulent act made us send them a legal notice in the month of March with a wait period of 15 days for them to reply. They seemed not to care. Requesting to get this case resolved without registering the case with the consumer court. The resolution of this case is the complete refund of the amount paid towards the fridge along with the return of our old refrigerator.
