My meter has been faulty as it even runs even if i switch off by main switch also. And on the screen of the meter it has been black black mark due to which meter reading becomes difficult and in last bill the meter reading person has done mistake due to this black mark .My account no is[protected] meter no 6881031 for the bill dated[protected] bill no[protected] single phase category resident bill for MAY-2016 your meter reading person had given meter reading as 6517 where as i had been taking pics of meter reading regularly . Please change meter and do the needful. Pic cannot be loaded can show u i[censored] call me my nO. [protected]

      We had registered a complaint about power failure and power is not there for more than 9 hrs.
      But they have not send any workers to the site, then we called on personal number of that worker, then he came and resolved it, problem is minor(single phase)
      So why there is customer care facility in reliance energy, shut it down, they not able to solve the issue. we have wasted our 9 hrs, so many work pending.

        I had complaint is against relaince staff engineer who is doing delay for checking the meter...For fixing the new meter

        outstanding bill was 1910...Which i had paid on 13 may 2016

        and same day i had did documentation for the new connection but then to there is no response by reliance energy staff...

        Even we had own room we are staying in rented house...All because of relaince staff

          I was very upset frustrated for high electricity bill by reliance energy for which i complained to their customer services and even sent mail for high bill of average rs.3000 every month, which is too high for us as we use only 3 fans 4 tube lights a fridge a geaser (Average 5 minutes a day) an ac (Rarely use in summer 1 hr a day), now last month we were out for 10 days even then the bill was the same 2990. I called reliance energy and convinced them after a long conversation with the supervisor to send some one to check the meter, today an engineer visited and checked the meter and informed me that your meter is damaged by fire of other meter and that's why your meter is running fast due to heat, you will have to buy a new meter in order to get less bill amount, i said this damage is not caused by me and in fact i am being penalized for company's fault. My question is why does the meter man who blindly takes down the reading every month did not informed me or reliance energy meter dept. For such a big damage to the meter since so many months? If meter is damaged then how come reading is showing almost constant meter reading even i was away for 10 days last month? Now what should i do for the high bill i have paid since so many months and why should i pay for the new meter charges they are demanding to pay?? Please help.. I am paying 10-12 percent of my monthly income to reliance energy.. I strongly support and believe in energy saving and do not misuse water and electricity.

            Honorable Sir, the electricity in our building period for the new connection is still not given. The new connection also has been found to permit even though relince Energy in our building does not provide a new connection.

              Dear Sir/Madam,

              Myself Conrad Dcosta residing at Vakola, Santacruz East, Mumbai. We have a row house in a chawl in Santacruz east which we made it a one plus one somewhere in 1992 and installed BSES (Now Reliance) however lost all our papers and electricty bills in the 26th July rains. We are now facing challenge in getting our share of apartment in the upcoming building as the builder wants a proof that we have this house and meter before 1995 which we definitely have, however there is nothing to prove. The meter is in my mothers name Mrs. Maria V Dcosta. A/c no. for the same is[protected].

              Due to high bills we switched to Tata in July 2014, consumer no. for the same is[protected]. We have been struggling since couple of weeks trying to get a soft copy of initial bills or some proof that we have this meter since 1992 however Reliance customer care keeps asking us to speak to Tata and vice versa.

              The strange thing is that we are asking information for our own house and are not able to get. We stayed in this house for so many years without a toilet and now finally when deserve to get a flat in the building that is going to be constructed, we are not getting our right and that too just because of our bills or proof of our initial installation.

              It is a sincere request for someone to investigate about this and help us with above request at the earliest.

                This is to bring to your notice that Reliance Energy has been charging unrealistic bill amount. The latest bill for MAR 2016 is completely a dispute as the units have grown 3x times as compared to previous month or even as compared to MAR 2015. They are faulty meters or fraud going around this and everytime a complaint is raised they wash their hands off by saying no problem all ok. I would like to bring this matter on a serious note and make a case around it as RELIANCE ENERGY cannot be take common man on a ride.

                Reliance Energy Account Number[protected]
                MAR 2016 - Bill Amount Rs. 14, 650 for 1309 unit (Dispute)
                FEB 2016 - 376 Units (For comparison)
                MAR 2015 - 534 Units (For comparison)

                There as been no such drastic change in usage for the units to be 4x as compared to last month. 20% to 25% higher usage is acceptable but not 4x. You are hereby requested to take matter on TOP PRIORITY as RELIANCE ENERGY will expect us to pay this money and then they will investigate which will go to complete waste.

                As confirmed by our field representatives, the meter was inspected at your premises, on 04/04/2016, in your presence.
                On inspection, the meter was found to be working within the prescribed limits of accuracy. A letter explaining the same has been sent to your registered billing address.
                Trust this addresses the concern raised by you. In case u wish for further investigation, you can get ur meter tested in a lab, by paying a nominal refundable fee by visiting our nearest Customer Care Center.
                Dear Sir/Madam,

                It is very disappointing to receive such a reply from you side.

                Your person did come 2 times, he checked the reading on day 1 and check the reading on day 3 and noticed an average of 18 units per day which means approx 550 units a month whereas the last bill has 1400+ units which is impossible to happen.

                Your representative then said he is taking the reading of last 3 months daily usage from the meter through some computer and will come back to us.

                Until now we have not received any information.

                Also to inform you please look into the last 6-12 months unit reading we have never even gone close to 1400+ unit maximum has been 500-600 units during peak.

                How can you prove that this not a meter issue? Electronics can sometime act funny? Did your team even take the meter for investigation?

                It is very much not possible that suddenly a residential bill can go up from Rs. 3500 to Rs. 14, 500+

                You are hereby requested to further investigate this matter and offer a permanent solution and not cheat on customers

                Also this is very surprising to read that you being Reliance you are asking customer to take the meter, i am sure with the kind of charges being charged by yourself you are suppose to offer such services at door step.

                I ask for a meter change & request you to please take up to the highest authority, if required I am willing to visit you office in case a meeting can be arranged with your most senior official who has powers and capable of discussing on this issue face to face.

                Recently I have had the same problem as you did Mohit.

                My electricity bill spiked up by 5x ! From an average unit consumption of 400-500 it's gone up to 2000 and the bill is 23000! This when one wasn't even in town for a good ten days!! After sending a mail and calling customer care umpteen times I got an Automated response saying that the meter was checked and everything is okay!! No call no nothing! I don't even know if and when someone came!

                This is unacceptable and I refuse to pay this extortion amount. I would like to take this matter to the higher ups or court if need be. Any help and tips are welcome

                    Dear Sir,

                    I, Mr. Rakesh Verma, live on rent from 3 last years on the said address, My Electricity Account no. is[protected].

                    My two-month bill amount of December 2015 & January 2016 was Rs. 2080. And now I received the bill for the month of February 2016 was Rs. 11, 860.
                    I had call and complaint against increase in the electricity bill to customer care, the officer visit to our place and inspected the usage of electricity and said that the bill is normal. They added that our meter was faulty, so bill amount of February 2016 was Rs. 11, 860. On 21st January 2016, without informing us Reliance staff changed the meter.

                    First of all, why the Reliance meter changed without informing me.
                    If meter was faulty, then you have to inform before or while changing the meter. And also they saying the meter reading display was not visible.

                    Secondly, previous year bill amount and consumption of electricity energy, its not more then 300 units.

                    We don’t have much power consumption for which I had received 11, 860-amount bill only for one month. We have 2 Tube lights, 2 fans, 1 Washing Machine, 1 Fridge & a Television.

                    I visited office too, but after little argument officer amendment in my electricity bill and ask to pay rupees 8, 500.

                    I am requesting you to look into this matter and resolve it. I am not able to pay such a huge amount; I belong to middle class family. Looking forward to your positive reply.

                      Sir/ Madam, i have received an unexpected Reliance Energy bill of Rs.4100/- for the Month of Jan 2016. This is to inform you that we are only 6 people at home, only on Sunday full day we are at home. We are always receiving Bill for Rs.[protected]/- which was also unexpected. I cannot understand how your people are checking that we get so high Bill amount. It is very shocking to see a sudden rise in the electricity bill.

                      This clearly indicates that there is some problem from your side be it meter reading, problem in meter etc. the units is not doing his job., then too the bill and units consumed. Your kind concern in this regard would be highly appreciated.

                      Last month we have received Bill for Rs.3900/-. I don't think anybody is checking and sending any amount of Bill. Kindly re-check the consumption.This is really too much and cannot bear. Please don't harass and cheat people.

                        I have highlighted the issue of no meter reading taken for the past few months... I have attached bills from Sep'15 to Jan '16 showing the same in the Important message column and always there has been a approximation o[censored]nits.

                        On 1st Dec 2015, I had taken a photograph (Attached) of the above mentioned meter with the meter reading "28377" but again I received the December 2015 Bill with an estimated units of "29013".

                        WHY AM I PAYING FOR THE UNITS I HAVE NOT USED IN ADVANCE TO RELIANCE?

                        On the same day, 1st Dec '2015, I had also complaint to check the meter and I had recieved the below mentioned replies on 3rd & 5th December 2015 respectively

                        Even today there is no change in meter nor any update on the replacement order mentioned. This seems to be some kind of a organized looting of customers without taking meter reading asking for additional money based on approximate average billing.

                        I am taking the copy of this to the consumer court on "How consumers are being thug by the big corporate house "Reliance"?"

                          A Shameful, dreadful, Life threatening, indecent and blood boiling work done By the recovery dept of Esteemed RIM group. Due to financial obstructions my bill was being paid late, inspite of educating the same to the recovery agent the Negative attitude agent spoke harshly and threatened my family of the bare consequences if the bill was not paid in an hr. RIM group needs to have some presence of mind, when hiring such goons...I have to know worry thinking about my family when I am not in town and they cannot pay the bill...a brilliant job done by the recovery agent of creating mental worry and unnecessary tension. Only if he could have spoken with a little respect and given sometime for my family to get up to date...I am now worriedly waiting to get the home disconnect Reliance and change to Tata Power...Shame on You

                                  I Mr.Edward John pereira residing at 4/4, Esparance Lodge, Kirol village Ghatkopar West Nr. Gaondevi mandir would like to complaint about the fraud transfer of light bill done against my residence. I have been living in this said address since the time the building was constructed. It has been more than 40 years that I have been living in this room. I have all the necessary documents to get the light bill transferred under my name. I have got my Addhaar card, Pan card, Ration Card under my name since I have been living there for more than 40 years. The building belongs to four brothers and I am a legal heir of this building too as my name appears on the Municiple Tax bill and also on Index II. My complaint is against Reliance Energy for having transferred my electricity meter to Mr.Millroy L Pereira who is not residing in my Flat. He has not taken the necessary NOC from us to transfer the name under his name. Nor does he have necessary documents to transfer the Electricity meter to his name. This is fraud as Reliance Energy has transferred my Electricity Meter to Mr.Millroys name. I would therefore please request you to look into this matter. As no proper verification method has been followed by Reliance Energy or Mr. Millroy might have produced false documents to transfer the said Electricity Meter to his name. It is Reliance Energy’s duty to perform a proper legal check before they could transfer the Electricity meter to a consumer’s name. This smart person Mr. Millroy got the Reliance Electricity Meter transfer to Tata Energy. So I complaint TATA Energy about it as they have My Meter transferred to them. They said I need to contact Reliance Energy for change of name as the documents were send by Reliance Energy. Tata also advised me to get a NOC from Mr.Millroy to get the name transferred. I was shocked to hear that I need to get an NOC from a person who does not leave in my Flat and that the Meter actually belongs to me as I am using it. So I approached Reliance and they said that the connection has been transferred to TATA Energy and so need to approach them. Well I am a Sr.Citizen and at this age I am getting a run around to get a justice. I approached both companies and I showed all my necessary documents however they did not listen to me as both companies do not care if the documents are right as you know they don’t want to admit their fault. Please help me to resolve this issue. I am willing to come to police station to verify and I am sure Mr.Millroy L Pereira would be behind bars for fraud case if he has produced false documents.                                   Reliance Light Bill transfer in the name of Mr.MillRoy L Pereira without a proper documents and proper Verification for Reliance Energy consumer no –[protected] and then was transferred to Tata Power consumer no –[protected]

                                      Today (09/12/2015) i have paid my ele bill of rs.3550.00 through i/net banking. I have received sms from my bank that my account is debited. But i recd sms from ad-payumn that "your payment (id[protected] of rs. 3550.00 for reliance infrastructure l is unsuccessful. Contact [protected]@payumoney.Com for more info." what is the problem. Pl recredited my amt to bank account or made the trasaction sucessfull. My reliance energy account no.[protected].Pl verify the same and information on my below mobile or email id. Hope for the best.
