[Resolved]  Renault — bad service and looted money

Hi renault team,

I am struggling with a peculiar problem with my renault duster car with registration no: ts07em9136 purchased in jun-2015. I purchased this vehicle from auto logic, kondapur, hyderabad. I have renault 2 years extended warranty which is valid till jun-2019.

Problem is gear rod/stick is locking while switching between first & second gear. It is happening once or twice in a week especially while taking the u-turns or continue on first gear for long and then switch to second gear.

I have been giving the vehicle for serving at auto logic service center, kondapur, hyderabad. During third (20k / 2 years) in jul-2017, i reported this problem. During that it was not fixed and told that it will go on its own and manager (Prasad) told me that we will fix it later if it continues again. Again i reported the same problem to fix it in oct – 2017 and that time auto logic team investigated for 2-3 days and told me to change the clutch pedal and replaced it part of extended warranty. Still the problem is not fixed. I waited and during 30k / 3 years servicing time in jun-2018, i reported the same problem. They investigated again, kept the car for 2-3 days and told me that there is a problem with clutch master and replaced it part of extended warranty. Within a week time, the problem repeated. This time the manager (Sarat) promised me that the problem will be arrested. I gave the car again for fixing the problem. They kept the car for 2-3 days again and told me that there is a problem with clutch plates and you have to replace and it is not part of extended warranty support and they replaced the clutch plates and charged me around rs. 7500. The manager (Sarat) told me that the problem will be fixed forever. Again after a week time, the problem repeated. Looks the problem is not fixed and the parts they replaced is nothing got to the problem i reported.

Now when i am trying to give my vehicle back to auto logic guys, they are not responding well and not taking my vehicle for fixing the problem. I am wondering whether the auto logic team did a right investigation of the problem or not. Replaced clutch pedal, clutch master part of warranty and clutch plates (Charged me rs. 7500), kept my vehicle for 2-3 days every time and the problem is not fixed. Not sure whether they have right skilled technical team to identify, fix my current problem.

Every time, i had to leave the vehicle to auto logic place 2-3 days i spent lot of money to commute to my office and other activities which caused lot of inconvenience.

I wanted to bring the above incidence to renault team and seek your help in 1) fixing my current problem permanently and 2) return my money rs. 7500 which unnecessarily replaced my clutch plates at my own cost and 3) auto logic team should not repeat such incidents with any other customers.

This is for Renault Duster car with registration no: TS07EM9136 in continuation to the complaint[protected].

Upon Renault team advise, I agreed to give the car for fixing the problem and accordingly I had given the vehicle at Auto Logic Servicing Center, Kondapur on 9-Jul. I struggled a lot in convincing the sales advisor (Prudvi), Technician (Madhu) and Branch Manager (Sarat). They were not ready to take the vehicle and arguing with me that the problem must have been fixed and I am lying . After going for a road test, they agreed to take the vehicle just because I am saying that the problem is not fixed. They had taken the vehicle just for the sake of taking but for not owning to fixing the problem that I raised. Most astonishing part is that Branch Manager (Sarat) is a not convinced on this. Can’t expect worse than this.

The vehicle was there at service center for 3 days between 9-Jul and 11-Jul and on 11-Jul and the investigation started. On 11-Jul evening, I was called and told that the problem is fixed. When I went to service center, they started explaining me that the problem is not fixed yet. Previously replaced part Clutch Master was not the right part put in place and as per Renault team’s advice, it should be replaced with another model of Clutch Master and the order for the new part is put in place which may take another 2-3 days. Once the part is reached, I have to give the vehicle for fixing it. I asked for confirmation, whether the new part will fix the problem. Not one is giving me the confirmation. They asked me to take the vehicle and I was told that I will be called once the new Clutch Master is arrived for fixing it.

I am totally disappointed with the whole episode of fixing my problem. First changed the clutch pedal. 110 PS pedal was put in for 85 PS model, not sure what is the reason for it. For the gear stuck problem, they replaced clutch master. While replacing the clutch master, looks they have not put in right clutch master compatible with 110 PS clutch pedal. Instead of identifying it, they replaced clutch plates and charged me rupees 7500. Now after investigation again they are telling me that wrong clutch master was put in and need to put the right clutch master to fix the problem.

I lost the trust and faith on auto logic service center team whether they will be able to fix gear lock problem with new clutch master replacement. My vehicle was there at auto logic service center for 12 days (3 days each time for 4 times) till now to fix this problem and not sure how many more days I have to give the vehicle. Struggled enough during these 12 days to commute to office and other activities (me, wife and 2 children). I am losing money in commuting, parts auto logic team is looting my time & money in parts replacement. No faith.

Should I continue give the vehicle to replace the clutch master part? What is the guarantee that the problem will be fixed? Do I have a solution to the gear shifting problem for my car from auto logic team and Renault team? Pl. call me and suggest me next steps on this.

Please let me know when can expect the new part to be replaced and when will AUtologic team inform me and fix the clutch master in my car. They should inform the timelines and can't be endless.
