Dear Sir,
My name is John Shamender Toppo, I purchased a new Renault Duster AMT RxL from Trident Renault Whitefield Bangalore India on 23rd Oct 2016. Just after 10 days on 2nd of Nov 2016 when i went to take my car out from apartment parking, the Engine were starting but the car was not moving forward or backward after putting the gear lever on Drive or Reverse mode, there were 2 Alarms showing on the dashboard panel.
I contacted the service guys and they suggested to tow the vehicle to the service center. The next day morning they took the car to the Trident whitefield service center. After initial investigation, they said don't worry, its a minor problem and they will keep the car for thorough investigations and diagnosis of all the wiring and sensors and after fixing all the problems, they will hand it over to me. I received a sms as well with guaranteed estimated time at 5:00 pm on the same day. which they failed to do so and said it is still under diagnosis.
The next day again i contacted them and they said they have sent the diagnosed data to the Renault head office for the analysis and based on their feedback they will proceed further. I asked whats the issue and the time line and they said don't worry, its a minor issue and looks like some manufacturing problem.
The next day they said someone will come from Renault Head office to investigate and probably the solenoid valve need to be replaced and the gear box has to open and check. It seems they replaced the solenoid valve but with No Luck. The problem was not diagnosed yet.
The next day, the area manager from Renault visited and took a look and suggested them to swap the Traction Control module, which also did not work and they said they are removing the gear oil and they will further do the investigation
Again on the following day, they said that some foreign particle was present inside the gear box and it has damaged the gear and they will replace the whole gear box assembly which will take another 10 working days.
The current update is : Day 7 - waiting for the part to come. Time of delivery is not known.
All this looks to me is doing a surgery on a newly born baby by an unskilled doctor and doing experiments one after another. Why any one should accept this?
All this time what mental torture I and my family has been going through is unexplainable and no one can understand or imagine. The service executive was assuring and suggesting me that he can compensate for the taxi service i can avail during this period for an amount upto Rs 800 per day. I don't need the taxi service. I still have my old car, which is there with me since last 14 years and never put me down in this kind of situation.
It is clearly understood that it is a manufacturing defect. The problems are just getting multiplied. I cannot accept a new car whose major components has been experimented and compromised.
So for my 10 days old car, you must replace with a brand new car.
How you can compensate for the time i have lost and the mental torture i have been suffering from for last 7 days and not sure for how long I have to suffer.
Please do the needful ASAP.
