[Resolved]  Renault — gear shift problem in kwid

Hi team,

I bought kwid rxt (O) manual model from renault faridabad city dealer, my tmp registration number is hr29 tmp 4426.
I was on the trip to visit my home-town and started having problem in shifting 1st and 2nd gear when i was in faizabad. Road assistant technician visited and said there is no problem in gear shift, instead it is missing something.
They said they will toe car to the nearest dealership which is in lucknow (Approx 150km from my current location).
But their is no guarantee by when i can have my vehicle back or this problem will be resolved.

This is very disappointing to see such weird problem in a brand new car, which is brought just 9 days back and drove around 1300 km.

Can renault suggest how to deal with this problem.

With hell lot of dissatisfaction with the response by the technician who visited for road side assistance, I was anticipating that I will have to send my car to dealership for correction, but then my father advised to visit our local machanic for his expert opinion. I visited with no intention of getting this resolved, but to my surprise, he also said the same thing which I had told to customer care, that there is problem in gear shift. Local Machanic fouls the root problem in less than 1 minute and fixed in next 1 minute. There was a faulty screw related to somewhere gear shift box, this guy changed the screw and issue was resolved. This whole 2-3 minute of his service cost me less than ₹50, which is nothing. But if I had listened to the road assistant guy, it would have cost me a lot more and the commute problem for unknown time period.

Advise to Renault team- please hire some good machanic for road side assistance who atleast know how to drive a car or atleast about the Renault cars. Just sending car to dealership for each and everything is not a solution. Customers suffer a lot by this.

Overall very disappointed by Renault team.
