I along with my wife were to visit us & canada for the purpose of travel.. Accordingly we wanted some forex which as per the internet options we bought at competitive prices from weizzmenn... But they were not having small denomination notes.. I visited thomas cook & they too shown me teared notes o[censored]sd & expressed their inability... With some private unauthorised persons also i enquired when i found that no usd notes are avaible.. Hence on my date of journey i. E. On 15th aug when i enquired at the airport usd were sold at 75.45 whreas during the day the rate for usd currency was @67.45.. I asked why so much of difference.. Isit not an exploitation?? Ultimately i was given usd notes @79 with proper receipt by a forex dealer.. Rbi authorises such agents to loot its own citizens?? Why rbi shall not be held responsible for failing to check black marketing & profiteering activity in forex transactions at the airport?? Can i get satisfactory answer or should i go to consumer forum??
