[Resolved]  Residential — Complaining on unreasonably high charges in water bill and harassment faced by DJB office staff when raised a complaint

The total pending bill amount for my water connection is Rs. 13750. This unreasonably high bill amount is mainly from the period when the premises was locked, and nobody was residing at the place. It has now been a long ongoing issue which I have been trying to get resolved from months now.

After several visit to DJB office, I wrote an application to Pratap Nagar, New Delhi office on January 20th, 2021complaining about the same, along with which I submitted the copy of several electricity from the period of April 2019 to September 2020 as a proof, that nobody was residing at the place in the given duration.

My complaint was register at that time and I was promised a resolution for the same. However, the bill amount on the bill generated on September 26th, 2021 was still Rs. 13750. After that when I visited the DJB office once again on September 29th, 2021, I was informed that the record book in which they registered my complaint was misplaced and I was asked to submit the application one again. The main cause of this issue was the meter reader (Jeeth Singh) who kept wrongly reporting the water meter to be faulty during the period.
