Revv Self Drive Rental — complaint against revv self-drive for providing incorrect information and unsatisfactory service

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Akshay Pawar, am filing this complaint against Revv Self-Drive for providing incorrect information, causing inconvenience, and failing to resolve the issue despite multiple follow-ups.

Details of the Complaint:

1. Booking Details:

• I booked a car for one month from Revv Self-Drive, making an advance payment of ₹5, 000 before completing the full payment of ₹59, 039.

• Before the booking, I specifically confirmed with their support executive, Ravi, that the car would have a height-adjustable seat, as this was a basic and essential requirement for me. Ravi assured me several times through calls and WhatsApp messages that the car had this feature.

2. Issue Faced:

• Upon receiving the car on 6th January 2025, I found that the height-adjustable seat feature was missing, contrary to the assurances provided by Ravi.

• I raised a complaint with their support team on 7th January 2025, expecting a prompt resolution. However, despite repeated follow-ups and numerous calls, the issue was only addressed on 10th January 2025.

3. Unjust Charges and Poor Service:

• After deciding to return the car due to the company’s failure to deliver as promised, I was informed that ₹1, 000 would be deducted as processing fees and an additional amount of ₹1, 934 per day for 5 days, totaling ₹9, 670, would be charged.

• The calculation of these charges is unclear and unreasonable, especially since the issue arose due to misinformation provided by their team.

• Moreover, the customer service managers were rude and dismissive, adding to the distress caused by this situation.

Supporting Evidence:

• WhatsApp messages from Ravi confirming that the car has a height-adjustable seat.

• Payment receipts and transaction details.

Relief Sought:

1. A full refund of ₹59, 039 without any deductions, as the issue resulted from their false assurances.

2. Compensation for the inconvenience caused, including the time spent following up with their team.

3. A directive to Revv Self-Drive to improve their customer service and ensure transparency in their dealings.

Conclusion:

I feel cheated and misled by Revv Self-Drive, and their handling of this issue has been extremely unprofessional. I kindly request the Consumer Court to take immediate action and provide me with justice.
