RTO India — Correction in RC Book

Correction In RC from Omni Bus to Non Transport Vehicle.

Respected Sir

My Vehicle - Scorpio (Whiteboard 7 Seater Vehicle) Fitness certificate has expired in July. So I went to Krishnarajpuram RTO office (Karnataka, Bangalore) for FC process

They told that my vehicle is registered as OmniBus in the RC book and that has to be corrected to Non-Transport Vehicle.

For this they asked me to fill in a form and submit my original RC Card insurance and pollution certificate copy and stamped cover. They told they will do the correction and send it home. So I submitted the details on the 19th of September 2020.

I was given a receipt with Inward number of XXXX

I did not receive any letter till now. Its more than 2 months.

So I went to the RTO office to enquire.

Beow was the information that was given to me.

RTO office has stopped giving Fitness Certificate to all whiteboard vehicles more than 5 seats.

All vehicles more than 5 seat has to be converted to yellow board if they want FC done.

They said its government order.

So if this is the case then if I have to use my vehicle should I

1. Convert my vehicle to yellow board
2. I have to get a public driver licence
3. I have to get driver uniform and drive my vehicle
4. Follow all public vehicle category like paying tax ect after converting to yellow boad and still use it as my own vehicle.

We never knew such a new rule was passed?

Please could you clarify what is the process.

When will I receive my corrected RC book.

After receiving the RC book I have to get the FC done.
