Dear Sir,
I have made an online application at RTO, CHENNAI (NORTH WEST), for renewal of my Existing driving License No.TN[protected] which was already expired. As per prevailing system, only online renewal was available and accordingly on 25.03.2019 I had made the renewal process and obtained application number[protected] and remitted an amount of Rs.650/- towards Renewal Fee vide receipt No.TNS/851558 dated 27.03.2019. Later I had been to RTO North West, Chennai office for submission of original documents for verification and obtaining the Driving license renewal. On scrutiny of the documents, I was informed that my renewal of DL is to be made at Ambattur Circle since the residential address of mine has been shifted to Ambattur circle and my application was rejected by them. I was told to cancel my existing application online itself and informed to make a fresh applicable through online. Accordingly I have made my fresh application after cancellation of the existing one and obtained a fresh application No.[protected] dated 06.05.2019. The existing payment of renewal fee did not get adjusted with the fresh application and I had to remit one more payment of Rs.650/- which has been remitted vide receipt No.TNS/1300430 dated 14.05.2019 and renewed my Driving License at RTO – Ambattur.
I have sent an letter to RTO, Chennai North West through RPAD dated 27.05.2019 seeking refund of Rs.650/- paid for which till date I did not received any reply / refund.
Request you to kindly take necessary action in getting the refund from the department.
