Purchased Honda City VX car from SLV car world (Mr.Keshava Reddy) on Dec 2019.
Sequence of events
1. Went for test drive in Nov’2019.
2. Advance was given on Nov 28, 2019 via Google Pay..
3. Vehicle exterior was only good and they had tweaked the spares.
4. Purchased vehicle on Dec 5, 2019.
Tried contacting honda dealerships with car number but no one were able to provide information on odo readings or accidentals.
5. Went on a trip for 800 kms in Dec last week of 2019. Was able to feel issues with doors (noticeable sound when locking / unlocking) which I have not experienced in any other 4 of my earlier Honda cars.
6. During inspection and test drive, it was mentioned vehicle is accident free and Cardekho assured.
Basis the information, we went ahead.
7. Decided to leave for first service after 4K I had driven and then noticed in bill that the odo reading was around 60+k kms whereas I bought it at 29k which is a major breach of trust and meter tampering.
8. Decided to sell the vehicle during Apr 2021 and after negotiations could get a buyer for 6.7 Lacs after disclosing all details. Transaction also completed and buyer took vehicle for inspection and only at this instance it was made aware to us that vehicle is completely accidental and had 3 body shop repairs.
9. During services, I had to replace battery considering the age and also starter motor which was around 23k
10. Then came another shocker, rear left power window motor wasn’t working. Replacement cost 7k
11. Then while I went in Apr 2021 to ask why they cheated me, Mr Keshav Reddy told would I believe whatever he says and not even do an inspection from my end? It’s not his fault and he can’t take responsibility.
12. I asked for 6.5 Lacs on return of vehicle in Apr 2021 considering the fact that I had driven 4500 kms however I had replaced everything to showroom condition, as I originally purchased the car for 7.5 Lacs.
He said he will try and asked me to leave vehicle for 1 week.
Next day he called and informed me that 5 Lacs is the final price he can offer.
I said I will take the vehicle back but without confirming with me on the price he had taken advance from the next person.
Irony is he has sold the car to next person for 6 Lacs.
While I requested for next owner details, they denied to share or even discuss in person with next owner.
Thereby cheating myself and the next owner Ankit as well.
I got to know today that insurance renewal had taken place and copy was received at my number. Called next owner as per contact details mentioned in policy copy and found that he was also cheated and unaware about all these things..
Case to be registered against Mr. Keshava Reddy / SLV car world and their business to be closed so that they do not cheat any other customers on the pretext of selling used cars
