Sangita Travels — Shocking experience! | |||
Dear Sir, I am KS Ramachandran from Chennai and I booked my AC Sleeper in Sangita Travels for the bus leaving Bangalore on 11th May 2014, from Madiwala (next to Total Mall and opposite to Hanuman temple) at 11PM (Ticket No L7. When I reached the place, I was shocked to receive the news that the AC Sleeper Coach had broken down and that I was allotted, instead, a seat in another semi sleeper coach and the boarding time is 12 midnight! The bus with number 2578 (forget the prefix) finally came at 00.30AM and I was allotted a semi-sleeper seat A1. When I asked for a refund, I was blatantly refused with a reason that the semi-sleeper bus was far better than the sleeper coach and that actually they should be demanding extra Rs 400! As though this is not enough, when I was trying to sleep, around 3AM, the bus stopped for a about 15 minutes and a person with hand support sticks walked to the door of the bus and few people helped him to get into the bus. As I was looking at this person (my seat, being next to the driver’s seat), he sat on the driver’s seat and started the bus, asking his fellow friends who were crowding the driver’s area as to where the clutch, break etc were and was trying to use the gear front and back. I was terrified and wondered as to how I would reach home, with this driver whose one leg was severely bandaged! I could not sleep the whole night and had a horrifying experience, before I somehow reached, Koyembedu, Chennai around 6.30AM. Will the consumer court take note of this and also make sure that Sangita Travel is severely punished for the casual attitude that it is showing to their customers, as it is a “life and death” situation for them? I understood from my co-passenger that the internet feedback from customers are so painful and many have narrated their horrendous experience with Sangita Travels. I would appreciate, if the consumer’s forum copies my complaint to the All India Travel and Tourism and many such associations so that Sangita Travels is black listed and prevented from doing their business anymore. I journey from Mumbai Goregaon east to Hyderabad Afzal gunj, but driver is dropped before 8km from afzal ganj at Mahandi patnam,
