[Resolved]  Friends Cable Network — ILLEGAL DISCONNECTION AND NOT FOLLOWING TRAI REGULATIONS

My Cable Operator has increased the amount of Cable Services in the last month directly from 150 INR to 250 INR. I am his customer from June 15, 2012. That time he provided me a Indigital SET TOP BOX. It was full of complaints that time but he said he's still in the process of migration to DAS so we ignored it after 6 months in January he comes to our home and tells us we have to pay more 300 INR as he's discontinuing from Indigital to hathway cable. We paid him the money, Our STB got installed after 5 days. My most of the channels were gone with it. The new STB had greater issues and much problems , the old one when got disconnected usually came after a day but the new one wanted atleast 3 days. Cable Service Provider only remains in customer service for 2 hour a day i.e. from 3pm to 5pm. In May he announces accidentaly without any pre notice that the amount payable is 250 INR now, what we could have done, we all agreed to him. The first month he took money from us but didn't gave any receipt excusing that he would recharge the STB and all is digital now. Now after that, this month he didn't came to my home but to my next door and all to collect money. I thought may be our date be a little late but after 10 minutes my cable disappears. I called him and luckily he picked up the call and said that he has disconnected for non payment and its now our duty to come to his office and give him the fee. The operator can collect money from others but never from us. He disconnected it illegally as per TRAI guidance. Now we demand our STB refund so he says he would only pay 500 out of 1200. When I said him that TRAI says here -:http://www.trai.gov.in/Content/faq_subcat_details.aspx?id=158&qid=2&li...⇄ that no one could deduct more than 25% in 1.5 year duration, he says that " Jo karna hai karlo, Lena hai to lo warna saja kar rakho". Now I got a chance to leave his services but I can't because of his low refund. He doesn't even allows us to have another Cable Service and operator even. Other Cable operator says the area is under his cover, Is this some mafia or what?
