Shalby Hospitals — Misuse of Mediclaim

Dear Sir,

Here, I am Deepak Diyora, Husband of Jignasha Diyora, she was a patient taken ACL Reconstruction Surgery from your Corporate Shalby Hospital Surat branch.

At time of First consultation, doctor inform me to meet at Insurance department for Quotation of Surgery because i have Insurance of Rs.2 Lacs and then she was given me quote Rs.1, 30, 000 rupees and told me that 20 to 26 thousands up down in final bills.I accept it and ready to take service from shalby and after OT at time of discharge again I was met at Insurance department and she was given me final Bill Rs.1, 77, 255 rupees then I understand that why she was asked me about limit of Insurance. I was really feel shocked because Rs.47, 255 rupees extra billed than given quote then I asked her about this extra charges then she told me that " I don't know about it, you sign now and then meet to doctor for clarification about extra charges." at time doctor not available at hospital and time of discharge around 9 pm, So we gone home and take rest.

After that we come for post OT consultation and meet to doctor at time I showed final Bill to doctor and he clarified extra charge, in this 30 thousands charged for Synovectomy and other 30 thousands for Starvac 90 ASC4251-01(S&N). All Reconstruction Quotation given Rs.70, 000 then why extra Charges around Rs.60000 for Synovectomy and Starvac 90 ASC4251-01 ?????? In Final Bill around Rs.30, 000 of Starvac 90 ASC4251-01, but Starvac 90 is Reusable instrument, it's not a Implant then why add this amount in our Bill...??

So that I want clarification about

- Extra Charges of Synovectomy added in final Bill, then why not given in quotation ?? because I show all reports to doctor and in MRI report already mentioned that synovial fluid is presence.

My moto of reach to here about this matter because I don't got right and satisfied clarification from Shalby Hospital Surat.

Request to do the needful as soon as possible.

Quotation attached here and you can see what given with what a amount, also there is mentioned clearly "All Reconstruction Rs.70200 and Cost of Implant Rs.50, 000, then finally seen in Final Bill is different like Synovectomy Rs.30800, All Reconstruction Rs.70200 and then Rs.76255 for Implant.

I want clarification for changing this quotation without my permission or without inform to me.

" Insurance he, pocket me se paisa nhi diya he, uska Matlab esa nhi hota ki Pura Insurance shalby ka he ! "

Insurance is not for hospital, it's for patient, use as per patient need, not for need of hospitals.
