M/s bengal shapoorji housing development pvt. Ltd. (Subsidiary of shapoorji pallonji co ltd) in 2007 had been allotted 150 acres of land at aa-iii, new town, kolkata by west bengal infrastructure development corporation ltd for construction of mass housing project. As per agreement with wbhidco, m/s bshdpl was supposed to build around 20, 000 flats in 9 phases.

Shapoorji group had published the lottery result for phase 8 spriha on 8th aug 2018, collected allotment money and stamp duty registration money in the month of sept 2018.
Then they called allotees for signing the sale agreement for provisional allotment on nov'2018. After that there is no update. Sale agreement is not even registered yet. It has been more than 1.5 years now, there is no intimation from their side, neither for sale agreement registration nor any update on the progress of construction status. They didn't ask for further installments which we have to pay based on construction progress.

We have already paid total amount - rs 5, 18, 165 (Application money - rs 1 lac + gst, allotment money - rs.1 lac 98 thousand + gst, stamp duty registration fees – rs 1 lac 84 thousand). Similar is the plight of allotees of phase 9.

They don’t receive their office phone. If someone visits their office premise, security guard suggests dropping note through email. They reply to the email with very generic response or public holiday excuses. Now they can add another excuse of covid 19 pandemic.
Almost two years without any progress, need to know the actual situation.

Shapoorji have not kept their commitment to buyers of sukhobristi project of kolkata, new town. The project is delayed by more than 1.5 years now besides covid impact. Around 5000 buyers who paid full amount of flat cost along with the cost of parking space were told that handing over of flats will be done within a few months are suffering due to this delay. Almost all of these buyers are paying both rent, where they are currently residing, and emi on bank loan which they have taken for this delayed project. Imagine how much of money they are losing every month. Also the state govt is losing revenue as in most cases shapoorji has not yet submitted to the concerned treasury the fund collected for apartment registration and stamp duty.

So please intervene so that registration of the apartments is completed at the earliest and the state government gets its due share of revenue.
