[Resolved] Sharekhan — account maintenance fees

I have an account with sharekhan with id 292735. An amount of 1000₹ was deducted from my account in the name of account maintenance fees wherein the account was not operated for 2 years. If the account was not operated then why do we have to pay the charges. Is the charges justifiable. We are not informed when it's deducted and only came to know when a complaint was filed with them.

Sharekhan Customer Care's response Hi Paravesh, the DP charges are levied for maintaining a demat account with us. Be assured that the charges are levied as per "Tariff Schedule" of DP charges agreed at the time of account opening. Also, as per normal course of business, we do send e-mail communication to our customers along with the ledger and bill copy as soon as the bills are posted in the ledger.
