[Resolved]  Sharekhan — changing of password online absent, only through phone

I would like sharekhan to reply to the following queries specifically :

1) if a "resident indian", who is in a foreign country for a month due to work obligations, having an account in sharekhan finds himself in a situation wherein they have to change their password after the 14th day, how are they supposed to change their password?
Since sharekhan only sends a notification on india mobile number.
I don't have international roaming.

2) do "resident indians" who have an account in sharekhan not allowed to check their account in a foreign country?

You have mischievously not answered my questions once again, i hope your future customer don't get caught in trouble when they are abroad like this
Here are my questions again and no need to explain your policy and procedures, we get that :

1) What if the customer was to stay more than a month out of the country and has no access to the indian phone number, how will you help the customer to change the password immediately?

if i feel that my account is compromised during my stay abroad, SHAREKHAN FORBIDS ANY CHANGE IN PASSWORD WHILE A CUSTOMER IS ABROAD, is that what you are saying?

2) Why has the option of online recovery changed?

3) Will sharekhan pay for any loss the customer incurs due to your not-well-thought of policies regarding changing of password?

Are you saying that your customer are not allowed to keep a track of their portfolio when they are in a foreign country and the password has expired?

So sharekhan mean to say if i feel that theur customer account is compromised during their stay abroad, SHAREKHAN FORBIDS ANY CHANGE IN PASSWORD WHILE A CUSTOMER IS ABROAD, FOR e.g. Singapore ?
SHAREKHAN WANTS THEIR CUSTOMER TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THEIR ACCOUNT AND THEIR PORTFOLIO WHILE THEY ARE IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY, JUST BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEIR (NOT WELL THOUGHT ) POLICY SAYS SO

Your team should carry the responsibility and bear the losses incurred for not reminding your customer to change their password in this regard.

We are not always able to track your policies which keep changing every other week.

We need accessibility to our own account whenever we want.

I would like sharekhan to reply to the following queries specifically :

Since sharekhan only sends a notification on india mobile number.

Hi! As per our policy, OTP password would be sent only to registered mobile number. If the customer does not want the password to get expired, he has to change the password before the expiry of 30 days. Please note that the password expiry has been revised to 30 day from 14 days.

To change the membership password before the expiry, please visit : www.sharekhan.com > Profile > Change Membership password or else post expiry of 30 days, system would prompt a message stating password has expired and you may change the password from login page itself.

Currently there is no restriction from accessing the Sharekhan account by Resident Indian from a foreign country however, it would depend on the cyber laws of the country in which customer is based.
Please try to understand your customers predicament!
If your customer finds that the 30th day has lapsed, with regards to your policy of changing passwords, and he doesn't have International roaming, how does your customer change his password?

2nd situation - > If your customer travels abroad and wants to change the password since he suspects that his password is compromised, how does he change the password from a foreign country? In this case too the customer doesn't have international roaming.

Hi! We would like to inform you that the OTP password would be sent only to registered mobile number. If a user wishes to change his password, then he has to keep his registered mobile number active, where he would get the OTP for further procedure. Thank you.

Does anyone in sharekhan understand written English? Does anyone have any kind of concern regarding what problems sharekhan is putting the customer through with your ill-thought off policies regarding password change?

Please try to understand your customers predicament!

Sharekhan seems to efficient in training their staff in replying like parrots, copy and paste nonsense.
Please try to read and understand the problem at hand and change your policies to be more customer friendly and customer oriented and not because your less knowledgeable manager has developed some idea and sharekhan finds it a necessity to implement nonsense policies.
