[Resolved]  Shiv Vilas — Lack of security and safety

We had planned out holiday at Mount Abu and made a booking for 4 days/5 nights at Hotel Shiv Villa, Near Gujarat Circuit House, Kumarwara, Mount Abu. the tariff was 1500 per day inclusive of breakfast. We had made an advance payment of 3500 Rs. We checkedin at the hotel as planned on 1st March 2014, Saturday at 11.30 AM. However, we were not aware of the mental trauma that was waiting for us ahead towards the end of day. We found that a huge group of men counting to about 15+ had checkin to the hotel and were boozing right outside their rooms in the hotel lobby. It was a highly notoroius, uncivilized group full of rowdy people. They started harassing us, firstly by getting into our room assuming it was theirs! Knocking and banging our room door and shouting to open up. And the third time there was an attempt, with a purpose of harassing. It was only me and my husband who had checkedin to the hotel, rest all were a part of this crowd. We made repeatitive calls to the hotel owner to get us out of this hotel on grounds of safety( I was totally traumatised on the thought of safety and secutiy of me and my husband). There was not security guard available, no manager present at the hotel. We have sent repeatitive emails to the hotel owner on refunding of the extra 200 Rs that we had payed, plainly on the grounds of lack of security and mental trauma that me and my husband had faced that night. But there is no response from them. It is not a question of only the money, but security and safety of the anyone else who would plan to spend their holiday by checking into this hotel.
